Getting response from Wells Fargo

Dear Robert,

Thank you for your email.  Whenever a dividend payment date falls on weekends or holidays the funds are moved the next business day, so it would be on Monday when payment is Saturday or Sunday.

Regards,

Investor Relations

Subject: Hope that you can solve my curiosity about the dividend policy of Wells Fargo

Dear Wells Fargo,

I am a researcher in finance.
Wells Fargo is a noticeable firm in dividend policy and I am comparing your dividend policy with other U.S. firms.
In particular, you always sets its payment date as the first day of specific months according to a three-monthly cycle, namely March, June, September, and December.
This feature is unique among the public listed firms.
However, the most recent three payable days fell on Saturday and Sunday.
I am wondering when these situations occur, your policy is to deliver the paying on latest Friday or next Monday.
This information is important to my research and I hope that you could give me a favor.
Sorry for bothering you and I sincerely hope you have a nice weekend.

Robert, from Taiwan
